Tomorrow at 1:00 pm the Sobos play Freeport. You can listen to the game via the internet by going to this page. The radio station WEKZ broadcasts over the net which is pretty neat. I saw this mentioned over at the Sobo Football website.

SoBos’ defense stepping up, too is the newest Beloit Daily News article about my beloved Sobos. Here is an interesting quote from it:

South Beloit’s defense can pry a team’s offense at the biggest stages of a ballgame. And this is something that will be the greatest factor in this Saturday’s matchup against top seeded Freeport Aquin, which features two top-notch teams that have made a living scoring the football. As the postseason rolls on for the SoBos though, they’re starting to find that weaknesses are difficult to find at this level.

Well I’m hoping they find a weakness in this Freeport team. Me and my friends are still going to drive up to watch the game. I hope they win.

Sobo Football is the website for info on my favorite football team. This place has it all stats, links to news articles, roster info, pictures, forums, and anything else you can think of. Shipley-powered Sobos reach quarters a Rockford Register Star article tells about the Sobos second playoff win. Here’s the blurb off of the sports page:

Flight beat might in Saturday’s Class 1A second-round playoff game between South Beloit and Galena. South Beloit quarterback Jered Shipley provided the flight, passing for 356 yards and four touchdowns in the Sobos’ 35-24 win over Galena.

The Sobos play Freeport Aquin (11-0) next. I believe the game will be in Freeport. Me and some buddies will be going to see that game. All I can say is keep it up Sobos!

SoBos shoot down Missiles is the Beloit Daily News story telling about the Sobos victory against the Milledgeville Missiles. They also mention that the game against Galena is this saturday at 1:30pm.
