It’s starting out to be a good day! Here is some news hot off the internet about my favorite sinking ship the worst hotel ever in an article called South Beloit Ramada’s future in the air. Below are the highlights:

South Beloit’s largest hotel is still accepting reservations despite the foreclosure notice filed by Chicago-based PMC Commercial Trust Bank.

The bank filed the notice in Winnebago County Circuit Court May 15, claiming the Ramada Inn and Conference Center, 200 Dearborn Ave., had defaulted on its mortgage payments and owes the bank $2 million.

Me and a few others have been waiting for these assholes to go under and this may be the start of them dying.

But the foreclosure also would affect the city since Ramada owner Serena Hospitalities owes about $26,000 in delinquent sewer bills, $33,000 in hotel taxes and the remaining $200,000 of a $400,000 low-interest loan.

Fuck the city of South Beloit. They should have never lent those cocksuckers money in the first place.

“We’re in a position like so many banks: People can’t make their payments,” Kirichkow said. “If they go out of business there’s no way of us recouping our money owed, or the chance would be very small. However, if they stay open, hopefully business would improve (and) they would be successful.”

I hope Kirichkow is smart enough to know business won’t improve at that hotel. It’s too late for that. They should count their losses and move on. Hopefully the property can be torn down and turned into a parking lot or something.

Officials from Serena did not return repeated calls for comment.

And this doesn’t surprise me. What are these dumb fuckers going to say? I think we should go back to the beginning for one of my favorite quotes from the owner to get perspective on their silence now:

“I’ve associated with friends and family’s hotels, but this is my first on my own,” Noor Tejany said. “I wanted to pick a hotel I would be proud of in the future. Once my plan is completed, I’ll be proud of this hotel.”

The guy has ruined two hotels so far. I hope he’s very proud. The one I worked at in South Beloit and the poor hotel in Indiana.

It seems the good hotel has a few “less than computer savvy” employees. I’m not the most follow the rules type of guy at a workplace. But if your going to be stupid enough to download a torrent of the movie Boondock Saints at work you may want to stop the torrent from seeding when its quitting time.

This news story makes me smile. Shit it seems is going bad for the owners of the worst hotel ever. The article is mainly focused on that Indiana hotel those fucks bought but it does shed light on my old workplace too. Seems that Indiana hotel is in finical trouble and the city officials of Evansville are trying to get a hold of the owners.

Both the current owner of the Executive Inn and the future owner seem to be hidden behind a veil of secrecy. They don’t take phone calls at any of their offices and don’t return messages. Chicago businessman Noor Tejany has owned the Executive Inn for only two years, but the hotel is now facing serious financial problems.

Which should be no surprise to anyone who has dealt with these douche bags (or knows how they do business). Here is the bit that pertains to the worst hotel ever in South Beloit:

Further north in South Beloit, the Tejanys own and operate a Ramada Inn and that’s where a similar pattern of debts and past-due taxes show up.

The mayor of South Beloit says the city gave Tejany a $400,000 loan back in 2003 to fix up the Ramada Inn.

Officials there say the Tejanys haven’t made a payment on that loan since October and the mayor says his staff actually met with the owners yesterday to discuss their debt.

Then there are the taxes on that property. The Winnebago County Treasurer’s office tells 14 News that the owners didn’t pay their second 2007 property tax installment totaling a little more than $40,000. That past due amount was sent to the county’s tax sale where Chase Bank, the presumed mortgage holder on the property, purchased the tax debt.

All of this is good news to my ears. I only can hope that this troubled economy eats them up and spits them out. I will celebrate the day the worst hotel ever closes.

Just got back from voting with my Dad. My Dad had mentioned the other day that this whack job that had a truck parked on someone’s lawn that spouted some bullshit about Obama. I just had to get photos of it to show the people who know me on the net just what kind of people live in my area.

Honestly wow. I don’t usually throw my hat in the political arena but it’s scary some people think like this. Fuck these WMCA assholes. Just so I’m clear on how I think.

Fuck me silly. I missed the two year anniversary of the second time I got fired from the worst hotel ever. So pretend it’s the 17th of September and celebrate with me on two whole years since I got let go over the phone by listening to that phone call:

The 27th of this month will be two whole years I’ve worked at the good hotel. Time flies when your having fun.Which really is thanks to the douche bag and the sheriff for firing me. A week later or before and I wouldn’t have had the job. It really was perfect timing.

You see the guy who was working first shift at the good hotel wanted to get out of the hotel business. The lady that was doing the third shift wanted to move to the first shift. I just fell into place. Honestly I couldn’t have planned it better. Big thanks again to the the douche bag (ex gm) and the sheriff (my old boss who still is a pussy I’m sure).

It’s little things like this Betterbidding.com forum post that makes me chuckle to myself:

I used PRICELINE for the first time. My bid was accepted by a Ramada Inn. I had requested a 2 star. When I mentioned it to someone where I am visiting, I was told that “nobody stays here. Even the police are afraid to go there.” I researched and found police reports and news articles that mentioned gang activity, brawls in the parking lot, armed robbery of the hotel, etc… I called Priceline and spoke at length to 2 people and was told that there are no refunds or cancellations. I don’t want a refund-I just want a different hotel in this town, even if I have to pay a little more. Do I have any options?

Just how bad is it getting that someone using priceline doesn’t want to stay at the worst hotel ever for a cheap rate?

I love seeing bad press about the worst hotel ever. And it’s good news (as far as I’m concerned) in this Beloit Daily News Stateline Area News in Brief from the 21st:

Police respond to large fight
At least three people were injured at a Stateline Area hotel early Sunday after a large fight, South Beloit police said.

An officer arrived at the Cattails Lounge of the Ramada Inn, 200 Dearborn Ave., about 1:10 a.m. and requested help from two other officers and units from Rockton, Roscoe, Winnebago County and Beloit, according to police reports.

The officer reported seeing blood stains on the wall, broken bottles on the floor and a broken table. The parties involved already had left or were fleeing by car.

Police did not know how many people were involved but said the lounge was over capacity.

A person received treatment at Beloit Memorial Hospital for blunt force trauma to the head, and two people received care for cuts at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Sgt. Brad McCaslin said this was the third fight in three weeks. Police warned the Ramada Inn future incidents may affect its liquor license and ability to do business in South Beloit.

On the 22nd the Daily News posted this article about sewer plans. The good bit there is this:

In other business, the council noted there will be a liquor commission meeting Monday when the commission is expected to have a hearing concerning recent problems at Cattails, the bar inside the Ramada Inn. Police Chief Tom Fearn noted there have been two incidents since June 29 where the police have been called to the bar. In an incident Sunday, at least three people were injured in a large fight at the business.

Having that shitty bar Cattails closed down would be one step closer to the worst hotel ever dying for good.
