So I had found a cool little program that would allow me to change the songs playing on my pc at home. You set it up and pick a port number for it to work. So it’s kinda a little web server. But as it turns out I picked the wrong port number, because I can’t get to it from this super gay Cendant isp we have.

So the current selection playing right now is thanks to Gawain. I had been listening to George Carlin for the last four hours and it was getting old. Don’t get me wrong I love Carlin. But I’ve heard that Back In Town album way to much. Kudos to the Big G for playing such a great selection of tunes.

So I like the idea of streaming music from my pc. It’s kind of liberating to be able assault the inhabitants of the internet in another way. I can play all kinds of weird shit that I like. From Joel to Sinatra. I can also inflict Bill Hicks on those of you who don’t know about my favorite comedian. I also want to play this 12 disc Lord Of The Rings set I have. Lots of options.

So Gawain has his radio station and now I have mine. I’m running SHOUTcast on my pc at home. Now you need Winamp to listen, which isn’t a problem as it is totally free. To listen just click this url. So far it’s been playing fine here on the work computer. The only snag I hit was not having the playlist at home on repeat, which caused it to endlessly play the last track.

I’m only going to be running the SHOUTcast server when I work. Mostly for my own entertainment of course. I’ll play a variety of stuff. But of course all of it will be shit I listen to. I may throw in a few surprises. Right now I have Billy Joel’s classic album Glass Houses going just to warn you if you listen. So it’s November already. November is kind of a special month for me. Mostly because on the 28th I will celebrate the 5th anniversary of the day I was fired from the hotel I work at. It’s become my special day, a sort of religious day you could say. It’s become the day I thank my friends and family that have helped me get from one year to the next. I also have vowed to not ever work that day. My thinking is that I didn’t work on that day back in 98 so why should I work on that day ever again. It goes back to this almost religious thing I have with this day now. Those events of me getting fired has left a mark on me. One that may not be the best attitude to have.

I was told that I would have that day off, because we would be switching to one full time guy (who works Sunday through Thursday, that will be me I’m told) and then a part time guy/guys (who work Friday and Saturday). So with any luck I’ll get it off with out much fuss. It falls on a Friday this time. Five years, man time flies when your having fun.

Gawain has a radio station you can find right here. He usually has this german heavy metal kind of stuff playing, which isn’t a bad thing. I’m starting to like some of this german shit. But his newest line up is something a little more to my liking.

I don’t think I have often talked about the music I listen to. I don’t really label the stuff I listen to, but I have been told it’s “easy listening” and “golden oldies” even. I listen to Billy Joel, Huey Lewis, The Beatles, and of course Frank Sinatra. I guess if I had to pick a label, Gawain’s definition would fit.

Thanks to my whining (har har) you can all hear two (only two? Bah!) classic Joel tunes off of his excellent Stormfront album. Both Leningrad and Downeaster Alexa are favorites of mine off of that album. So go on over and check out Moral Rust Radio and tell him the easy listening whiner sent you.

So going by Gawain’s results my site is 41% more evil than his site. Of course being the kind of guy to tinker with this kind of shit I found that the results do vary based on the words it picks up on your pages. Just hit this url and see the different results my humble site gets. Eviler than Gawain? It could be possible.

Now I don’t know shit about the details of this subject. I’m not even going to try to come off as knowing what the hell I’m talking about. There are places for that. First let me just say I liked the movie Underworld. I don’t give a shit if it was swiped from those fags at White Wolf or not.

From what I’ve read the movie is not a swipe. Also if you read the Lawsuit and you have half a brain you may come to the same conclusion that Gawain did. And that would put you in good company. You really have to read the Rebuttal he wrote, because (besides being pretty damn funny) it makes sense. And you don’t have to have played the pen and paper rpg to know this.
