You know what I have always wanted to hear on the phone at work when someone calls in for a reservation? I’ve always wanted to hear the line “your the hotelblues guy right?” or something like that. I got my wish tonight at work. But it wasn’t a total stranger that called. It was actually a couple I’ve met down at the Bop.

A really nice couple named Nick and Becky. Nick has been to my site before. He commented on my review of the Bop, quoting back my spartan line to me. And Nick is a great guy no matter what. Sure visiting my site helps. He’s a big fan of the band Oasis and you got to respect that. Becky is a great girl. I can’t say anything bad about her. If I were an younger attractive man she would be the kind of chick I would fall for.

These two are some of the people I always like to run into when I go down to the Bop. They are the kind of people that make the Bop a fun place. Makes me wish I could run down there now. Maybe this weekend I will stop in and say hi.

I’ve been ignoring my GuestBook when people sign it. It’s just nothing has caught my eye that was worth mentioning here. But I find it amusing when people find my site when looking for info on how to do the night audit. Which is the case with Andy who stumbled onto my site and had this comment:

It’s been a while since I did the end of year with Encore, hell I can’t even remember how it went. I know it may or may not have been pretty complicated. Your workplace didn’t supply instructions on how to do the year end? I feel for you man. What is this Pegesus you speak of? Is it an up to date and windows compatible Encore perhaps? The last time I was a little surprised by the amount of spyware that was found on one of the work pc’s. This time I just can’t believe how stupid these people that work at the hotel truly are. And I’m sorry this kind of shit can only be the result of stupidity. The last time it was only 65 nasty bits of spyware. This time there were over 262 spyware objects found by Ad-aware.

The funny thing is that the last time this shit happened I installed Ad-aware on every work computer. The computer that had all the shit on it mysteriously didn’t have Ad-aware any more. I’m still baffled on how this can happen. Without blaming it on stupidity. Can a person be that fucking clueless to accept every piece of spyware that is thrown their way? It’s disgusting and irritates me to no end.

Just a note to hotel management (and I use that term loosely) this is the last time I maintain a computer other than the one I use. Your on your own from now on.

So I just woke up around two am. The problem is I went to bed around five or six am on the morning of the 28th. I’ve slept through a day. It wouldn’t bother me so if it was any other day. Yesterday was my special day. My firing day.

Not that big of deal I suppose, it just feels like I had a day stolen from me. I guees it makes sense though I did only have a few hours of sleep after I got off of work the morning of the 27th. Oh well, I’ll just post date a post and do my firing day thing.

So today is my firing day. It’s been five years since I was fired from the hotel. Today has become the day I write about the year before, giving thanks to all my family and friends that have helped me make it through the past year. As with the others years not much has changed. 1999 is till the one I fall back on, because I’m to lazy to write all that again. Followed by 2000, 2001, 2002. I do have to add to my first list because I do have some new friends that help me get by (one way or another), and if I forget anyone I apologize in advance.

So first up I got say thanks to all of the members (past and present) of the Acolytes of Destruction, the Dark Age of Camelot guild I belong to. You guys have all been good friends in the time I’ve been playing. And I have talked about all this virtual reality friends stuff before. But you people are friends (like it or not) and I have come to depend on you guys. I know I don’t play as much as I used to. And I know more than a few of you have come or gone in one way or another. Be it leaving the game or leaving the guild. I miss all of you whom I don’t see on my friends list in game any more. But with any luck it looks like the lot of us will be back when World of Warcraft hits the store shelves.

Of course I got to mention Gawain. I met Gawain in Dark Age of Camelot. The Big G, what can I say about the guy? He’s crazy. He is also a good friend. His is one of the few sites I visit everyday. We maintain the same schedule and I can count on him keeping me entertained while I’m at work. We have a similar outlook on life, humor, and politics. We agree that Carrot Top has outlived his usefulness. G is just another guy I can’t say enough good things about. While your at it go buy some stuff from his Store.

And one final thanks goes out to all the goons at the hotel. Because really if it wasn’t for all of you people I wouldn’t be able to keep this website going. The hotel is my muse. It’s a love/hate relationship. Keep up the good work (bad work really, thank god their all a bunch a tards) you guys.
