My site is eight years old today. For the first time since eight years ago I am launching a new website. A sister site to this one in a sense. One that is a blatant attempt to cash in. Dreams of hearing the cha-ching of virtual cash registers. But more on that later. I often wonder what good having this site has done me. I often wonder why I continue to go on.

The only answers I come up with is that this website (blog jesus I give up) is a direct result of my muse the hotel. No hotel, no website. And the hotel makes it so easy to do whatever it is I do here. I only wish that my tales of idiot’s and sheriff’s were made up. Unfortunately for the shithole it is all 100% truth. At least as I see it.

As I have hinted at the last few posts I have started up a secondary website. The purpose of this site is the blatant goal of making money. MyBossIsAPussy.com should be live by the time you read this. It will the business front of this movement of mine to stick it to the bosses of just about any business that their lowly employees who happen to purchase a shirt or two. Very soon we hopefully will have some actual products for people to buy. So in the meantime it’s just another blog (god I hate that word) for people to visit. Insane? Yes I am. But I’m just following the gods wishes.

So I recently discovered Firefly. Now I realize that it’s a case of too little too late. Firefly being the Josh “Buffy” Whedon sci-fi show that just melds the western genre so well into it’s science fiction setting. I only watched maybe one or two episodes when it was on tv. It’s one of those shows that just clicked for me. The movie was also very good. But the ending has left me feeling a little down as demonstrated by this chat with Gawain:

I am of course talking about Hoban Washburne the pilot of the Serenity. One can only mourn him in their own way. A moment of silence please. I’m really bummed over it. A great character from a great show. I mourn the show even more. Add it to the list of sci-fi shows canceled before they should have been.

It should be mentioned that I dug this show so much after watching it that I had to go out and buy the actual dvd’s of the tv show and movie. I felt that downloading this one from a torrent was sort of dirty. It really is worth the purchase if your a fan of science fiction. Now that moment of silence in honor of poor Wash.

Day 4? Shit I have no clue to be honest with you. Going to Chicago today. My one day away from City of Villains. Which I’ve managed to get to level 28. I’m sure I’ll be playing when I get back. Since it has been the only thing I’ve really been doing while I’ve been on vacation.

Another year has come and gone. Today I celebrate the day that I was fired. I got fired back in 1998 on this day. Since then I take this day to look back and give thanks for making it another year. I also do not work on this day and I don’t think I will work on this day ever again. 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 have all been the previous years I’ve done this little write up celebrating this day.

This could be the last time I have this day off while working at the hotel. Opportunities may become available if I play my cards right. It would be odd to not be working at the hotel and have this day off. Which makes me wonder if this is something I should celebrate? What point does it serve to do so? Nothing is really gained from this day when I take it off except for lost wages. But sometimes I guess it’s worth it. Just maybe seeing how I’ve outlasted everyone that was involved in firing me. It doesn’t count for much, but it’s enough for me.

The usual suspects I owe my thanks to as I’ve mentioned in the years past. Nothing to drastic has changed since the first right I did back in 1999. That post is as true today as it was back in 99. As are the individuals I’ve mentioned in the years after that first one. I owe whatever meager success I mange to accomplish to those of you that support me both monetarily and mentally. I filled out a request off sheet for the 28th of this month. Which really is less of a request as it was a just to let you know kind of thing. One way or another I won’t be at work that day. While I have my personal preference between the two options.

As I see it the 28th of this month can go two ways. Either I’m given it off or I just don’t come in that night. I would prefer to be given that night off. But I’m am very serious about this day. I will not work this day again. It’s just one of many of what my dad refers to as my nervous ticks.

I see the 28th of November as a personal holiday. A date of religious significance if you will. It’s become part of my personal mythology. And I take these things very seriously. I have an almost religious fanaticism about my day.
