Ok I was all set to fire off a few complaints this morning regarding some issues I have with the new gig. They are not anything really horrible now, but if the problems continue it could get ugly. Anyone who has read the website for a while knows that I can climb on the soap box and shout out to the world or anyone who will listen to my insane ravings.

But, during my ranting at work something distracted me. And the next few lines will be very male-chauvinistic. This couple had checked in, and I had been outside when the guy went in. During my cigarette I noticed this girl that was definitely giving me a very friendly smile. I could only see her from behind the steering wheel so I went back in and fumed some more. Then this beautiful creature came in to see what was taking the putz she was with so long. And again she gave me that flirty smile. She asked if the pool was open and then bounced off.

It wasn’t to long before I caught her out of the corner of my eye in the pool area. Whew!!! Yowza!!! This one was really put together. She was in a very skimpy bikini that I happened to notice. She did a dive in to the pool and came out thrusting upward from underwater. It was like in some cheesy b-movie. Me and a guest both were caught checking her out. She just gave us a smile and did a few more dive into the water to me and the guests satisfaction. She seemed to enjoy showing herself off for us. So as you can tell I spent most of this post going on about this hot brunette. Very nice.

Well I have seen the Phantom menace six times as of today. My old man thinks that is a little over kill. For the sixth venture into the world of Episode one Izer and me dragged our good friend Stanley and his son Jonathan. My thinking was that Jonathan would be enchanted by the power of Star Wars. It turned out to have a kind of hit and miss effect on him.

You could see that he was really into the annoying comic relief character of Jar Jar Binks. Who I happen to really hate with a passion. But Jar Jar is in the movie to have that effect on kids. There were many parts of the movie little Jonathan was bouncing around in his seat checking out what was happening in the theater not the movie.

Its ok though, he has been seduced by the hype of the movie. Jonathan all ready has the Darth Maul sandals and bike. Darth Maul by the way has the kind of name that will confuse some Americans. You hear the name Darth Maul said out loud and you might think he is the dark lord of the shopping mall not the Dark lord of the Sith.

Any way I have faith in the kid, with his tendency to adore everything I do I’m quite sure I will be able to brain wash him into a Star Wars Junkie. Just ask him why he wears socks with his sandals! After I convert Jonathan over to the darkside I have to work on the Izers young one.

So I have ran out of steam and must bring this to a close. See ya next time.

Oh yeah I have to say hi to my bud Lumpy who may have finally figured out to pull up my website on his computer. At least that’s what he will claim. I know it was his smart wife that did it. So I say Hi To Dan and Kim.

Well here it is almost afternoon and I have not said a word about the movie. I decided not to mention any of the story on my page. If you want to have the show ruined for you there are plenty of places out there on the net that can do it for you. After the movie was over I made a pit stop at the hotel to use the bathroom and spent some time talking to one of the auditors. I mentioned I just got back from seeing the new Star Wars movie and that I really enjoyed it. So we started talking about Star Wars in general (actually I did most of the talking). So I mention that I felt like I was five again, seeing episode one made me young. I didn’t notice it until I was talking to her but I felt more than just young. I felt intoxicated, like I had been drinking. Yet it was a good buzz there’s no doubt in that. It was a strange moment. I tell her this and she says that I did look giddy. Me giddy?

We see the show again at 6:50pm today. So I will see if the intoxicating effect happens again. I hope it does, I still feel really good.

Ok its 9:30 right now. At 12:02am I will be seeing The Phantom Menace. I have to say that I am a little excited. It better be good. Kenan(a dark jedi) has foreseen that the movie will be a success. I just hope that George doesn’t fuck it up. In fact saying I’m excited doesn’t do justice to how I feel right now. I feel like I’m five again. That’s the weird thing about this whole Star Wars thing that has happened. It doesn’t just interest people my age(25-30), it reaches people of all ages. My dad wants to see it, Kenan and Izer’s dads want to see it. Even my grumpy bricklaying brother wants to see the movie. So enough for now, in a few hours I will write up on my thoughts of the movie.

Well I got some feedback on the subject of the FDM, here’s one person that says the guy is ok. This comment was sent in by my good bud Sergei who is a good judge of character.

The new front desk manager seems to be one hell of a guy. He meets all of the requirements: He seems nice, he works hard, he is straight, and he generally has a really likable personality. He is better than any other FDM.

You have to keep in mind those of you that are employees at the hotel to keep your own opinions. I know that a few of you from the front desk check in every once in a while. So make your own decisions on people. Don’t take it for granted because you hear it from someone at work or if you read something here at my site. You have a mind of your own, so use it. Being able to think and make our own judgments is what makes us all unique people. I think it would be boring if everyone thought the same.

Here is another strange event in the life of my crazy little website. I came across a website called the Phenomenal Men Of The Web and figured I would give it a shot and see if I had what it takes. When you are filling out the form there was this bit of text that kind of made think I didn’t have a chance:

But if you look to the left I guess I was wrong, they think I have what it takes. Go figure. By the way the Lady who runs the site also has a website for women called the Phenomenal Women Of The Web. I think it’s a pretty neat idea. Any way just go and check them out.

Another hotel insider had this to say about the last employee to check in.

I really feel that I must clarify for the person before mentioned who was let go. It wasn’t necessarily the fact that they where let go, it was the fact that, from what I hear, it was done by a phone call. This person had gone to work, worked, went home and then got a call hours later, after the FDM got to work, that they where being let go because they where unhappy. It’s back to the fact that it wasn’t done face to face. I really hope that this helps clear up the anger.

So this whole tangent was in answer to my question about phenomenon of letting people go with a note or a phone call. I don’t really pay attention to the stuff I write. So I thank the last person for being involved enough to mention this to me. And for the record I wasn’t angry with anyone. I just want to make sure if any management types read this and want to know names that I would never tell. Its kind of a patient/doctor kind of thing. I’m not mad about anything. Except maybe the fact I have four days left to wait for the Phantom Menace.
