I love getting jerked off. Not to many people know that about me. And let me say hello to all my corporate fucks who are trolling the site. Hi you corporate fucks! Now were was I? That’s right I was getting jerked off.

And when I say I got jerked off I’m not talking about what some of you may be thinking. This is a family oriented site you sick bastards. What I’m talking about is being told to do something that will have no effect. And the fact that the people who tell you to do it know in advance it will have no effect. That’s getting jerked off.

This all relates to the computer problem at the hotel. You see the old Unix based system we have thinks it’s still February 1st. Thank god I didn’t work when it happened. Because I know how the corporate types think. Someone has to be held accountable for this. Someone has to be disciplined or fired because of this.

I was told to call support. Now I have heard that support ain’t supporting us no more. I called and was told what I expected. Sorry we can’t help you. Which brings me back to getting jerked off. What can you do?

Wow so it’s February now. That means March is right around the corner. February is special of course because the Izer’s first child arrived on the twelfth of this month. The kid is special to me for lots of reasons. Most importantly is the fact I got to be there for Troy. Secondly it gave me something to do during that period of time I was jobless.

Other than that not much has been going on. The hotel’s death knell continues. The computer is on the fritz, so my job is made easier. I’m doing about a half hour of work during a nine hour shift. Getting paid to do nothing is cool.

Here it is the start of the fifth year of Hotelblues.com. I’m on my way out the door to go have a beer at the Bop. Not much more to say than that.

I keep forgetting to mention this, but my site hits the start of it’s fifth year on the 31st of this month. I think it is amazing that it’s lasted this long. And who knows how longer it will go. These last four years have been something. I hope it makes it another five.

Ok here are a few links I thought you should know about. First the newest Penny Arcade made me laugh a lot. I used to play MTG and still know a few people that do. The comic in the link below is in reference to the upcoming on-line MTG. MTG=Magic The Gathering, in case it has to be spelled out for you.

The Geek Hierarchy made me laugh as much as the above Penny Arcade strip. I’m always fighting my inner geek. So it was nice to see where it was I may or may not be on the chart. I may be only 29% geek, but there are lots of spots on that chart I could fall in on. Any of you on this chart?

Have you seen this movie? A Jerry Bruckheimer produced flick I liked? A Jerry Bruckheimer movie that didn’t play like a Jerry Bruckheimer movie? I’ve not been this disgusted and angry from a movie since the Nick Cage movie 8mm.

I’m not a guy who has served in the armed forces. I’m not really a kind of person who thinks military force is always the answer. But I feel for those guys. The US soldiers, the guys whose job it is to be soldiers. What a cluster fuck. Them poor fucking guys.

And those Somalians, what kind of savages are those people? Fucking dragging the corpses of those dead US soldiers around? That is savage. That was an instance when I could have lived with civilian casualties. Lot’s of civilian casualties.

And I have respect for the men who serve. Sure I play all the games like Ghost Recon and Operation Flashpoint. So I have seen a lot of simulated action. But seeing Black Hawk Down just makes it clear that I never could do what those US soldiers do. I would have shit my pants ten times over in a fight like that.

Black Hawk Down has been compared to Saving Private Ryan. But Ryan was a hypothetical what if of WWII. Black Hawk Down was a real engagement. Ryan’s war scenes didn’t sicken me. Maybe the Omaha Beach scene in the beginning. But the war scenes in Black Hawk Down made me want to cover my eyes. Seeing characters who are based on real people die just had that effect on me.

It’s been some eight hours since I’ve seen the film and I’m still angry. This is a good time to end this one.
