I have not posted to the site in a while, so let me introduce my self. I am the GM at a hotel in South Beloit. Any one interested in a GM’s thoughts can view my section of the webpage at G.M. Letters. I will be updating it in a week or so.

I want everyone to behave we have had our first visitor from another local hotel. So everyone say hi to Jill an employee at a sister chain here in Beloit. Let me be the first to say Hi Jill. This is what Jill had to say:

I was bored at work (Beloit Express), so I pulled up your web page. I am quite impressed. Encore does suck. I have many more comments, but I haven’t finished looking at your site. I can’t believe that you are posting the FDM’s password. Pretty cool.

This site made me laugh so hard I cried. Maybe I was crying because I was so bored working by myself with the grand title of MOD at the Beloit Holiday Inn Express. God, it is so nice to know that someone thinks the same things as you do about working for Bass Hotels and Resorts Inc.

Turk was very clear when he told me that those are not the FDM’s actual passwords. And I believe that Turk is a honest lad. Also We all love encore. So Jill I don’t see were you comments about encore came from. And Turk also wanted me to put up what she wrote in the guest book, because Turk says the rest of you should learn from Jill here and sign the guest book.

I of course don’t agree with the comment Jill made about working for Bass Hotels and Resorts Inc. Because as everyone knows I am a company man till death. And beside dear employees this is the best job a person can have. So once more everyone say hi to Jill. And be on the watch for my updated G.M. Letters. Till next time dear employees.

Hello again dear employees. I have been meaning to post a bit of fan mail that I have gotten. I couldn’t figure out how to get my mail, but Turk was kind enough to tell me how. So with out further ado, I give you my first fan mail:

dear g man

I would like to congratulate you on the timeliness of your letters being posted on the net, to bad i can not say the same for your evaluations to employee’s. Let us not even bring up raises. Now I know you do not feel employee’s have the right or even the ability to think, but amazingly enough, to day while shoveling coal into the boilers during my 15hr shift a thought came to me. There may be a cost savings to the hotel if we up dated our heating system to a natural gas system, that way we would not have to pay me to shovel coal all day and I may have time to code my bosses invoices for Paula. I know this is a little radical, to go from the 1800’s right into the 1950’s but I just thought i would bring this idea to your attention. I know I am not worthy to be granted such excessive amounts of time off in a day, but you should be happy that on my time off I spend some of my time trying to keep up on the goings on at the hotel.

Watching Superman the Animated Series made me come to strange conclusion. You know that Clark Kent and Superman can never be seen in the same room together because they are one and the same.

It made me wonder about Turk who runs this website. I think he is a decent guy. He has been nice enough to give me the space on his page. but I was thinking that I have never seen him and Chris the bad egg at the hotel together in the same room. Which made me think maybe the two of them are the same person.

I e-mailed Turk about this dilemma of mine. He assured me that He never heard of this guy “Chris”. He also pointed out that I have never met Him yet, which was a good point. So I asked Turk if he wanted to go golfing with me ever. He said he would when he could fit it in to his busy schedule.

Hello, many of you readers know me as your General Manager. But now I will be helping out on the website. Turk (who won’t reveal his real name) was nice enough to invite me to help. I have my own page Letter From the G M that you should check out. My page will be updated every month. I will also answer any mail that you fine people will send to me on my page. Turk wanted me to inform everyone that He received a raise on May 3. He felt it was funny that he had been written up only days before that. But I assured him that’s just how we Managers do things. So he’s gone from 6.90 to 7.50. See we Managers can be quite nice. Turk also wanted me to mention to you my employees that he also put up a color special of his My Life section. It has many amusing pictures. I even know Troy who is in many pictures on this site. Troy if you read this you should give me a call and we could go golfing. Troy was a excellent employee as opposed to that very rude person Chris. There is a example of a bad employee. This Chris is a trouble maker. He has a considerable amount of freewill. Troy was my friend. This Chris is a evil person. He should be more like this nice fellow Turk who runs the website.

Turk has even told me that he would go golfing with me. I can tell he’s very excited about golf, because when he asked me he was laughing quite a bit. A very nice fellow indeed.
