Well all good things come to an end. Sometimes even all bad things come to an end. This is a case of the later. The people who stepped in to manage the place when the Old Owners dumped us have went the way of the dodo. To commemorate this event I have thrown up a page that chronicles this time of the hotel.

The bottom of every page had a link the their pathetic website. This has been removed. I’m going to give the link one last time and then it won’t be mentioned again. It’s a joke that doesn’t have a punch line any more. And I hate having to explain a joke. In their time at the hotel they had two managers that tried to direct the hotel to something better. Tried is the operative word here.

The first guy who was in charge had a saying that he always referred to. “Tools to do the job.” This was always mentioned when ever you would ask a question that the guy couldn’t answer. That and his pathetic football references. It goes without saying that as a person in charge I had no respect for him or his so called expertise in this field. The brits have a word for a guy like this. Wanker.

The second was a different story. The Dude as I called him was the first GM to openly come to the site (I only say this because I know for a fact the putz before the Dude viewed the site more than once). To this day I still don’t know what I thought of him. I think he was ok. He gets points for coming to the site and not giving me shit for it. At least that I know of. That’s the problem with these types of people. To your face they could act like your best friend. Behind your back is a different story. In the end it doesn’t really matter.

It all comes done to my “me vs. them” way of thinking. I admit that this is a bad way to handle the people I work for. It’s just the way I am. The only thing about this whole period that brings a smile to my face is the rumor I was told by a former F&B. I was told that the last three GM’s were under orders to fire me. The fact that I’m still here and they are not does bring a smile to my face, true or not.

Did you know that there are 3 r’s and 4 f’s? And I’m not shitting you here. Fuck, finding out about these kinds of things blows my mind. For that matter the fact that someone has the motto “Clean is green” kind of blows my mind all over again. Here are the f’s and r’s for those of you that may have an intrest in this kind of shit:

I only bring this up because it’s something I just found out about today. And I’m really big on learning new things.

Ramada to be improved is an article over at the Beloit Daily News. Here is a picture of the new owner and a selected bit from the article for those of you too lazy to read the full thing:

“I’ve associated with friends and family’s hotels, but this is my first on my own,” Noor Tejany said. “I wanted to pick a hotel I would be proud of in the future. Once my plan is completed, I’ll be proud of this hotel.”

Well I wish him luck. Because he’s going to need it.

There seems to be now end in sight for my computer problems. I’m almost to the point were I say fuck it. It’s just that frustrating.

I’ve even stripped out everything that wasn’t necessary for the computer to run. Sound Card, Modem, and Burner. I have to leave my GeForce 3 in there, because it’s the only source for video. And god forbid if some how it’s my beloved GeForce 3.

So I’m on my 30th install of Windows 98/Windows XP. I’ve come to the point were I can do this stuff in my sleep. If I can’t get my problems solved in say ten more try’s, I’m going to go take it to a computer store. Let someone else bang their head against a brick wall, not me.

Here is another article from Beloitdailynews.com that made me laugh. This one isn’t related to the hotel or me, it’s just funny. Wosconsin News In Brief is the catchy title. This joke I will explain. You see this is a newspaper. They are supposed to be journalist’s. Their offices are in Wisconsin. You think they would know how to spell the state they live in.

Well somehow I managed to lose a days worth of news. Of course not that there was a lot of news in that one day. Regardless of my news lose not much has been going on.

The news item in question was from the 31st of July and told about how I fucked up the Four F’s. Not really an earth shattering important bit of text.

What else? I’m not smoking again. I’ve said it so many times now I’m like the boy who cried wolf. It’s going on the start of my forth night smoke free.

I want to smoke. Or I should say I want to smoke because I have nothing better to do at work. So why don’t one of you hit the comments or the GuestBook or fire me off an to @hotelblues.com. Give a good reason to smoke or not to smoke. One way or another for or against.
