Ahem…here is Mr. Izer with a brief statement on the goings on here at the website and the hotel(and because he whined and bitched for me to add a link to his bit he wrote a few years ago, here is “FUCK THEM ALL“):

I DON’T SIGN THE GUEST BOOK FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE? SO I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND WHAT DO I SEE ON MY FAVORITE WEBSITE? A (BIG BROTHER) STRONG COMPANY IS WATCHING THEIR EMPLOYEES WEBSITE AND THEY DON’T LIKE IT! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME. I’M SORRY FOR THE PAUSE BUT I JUST FELL OUTTA MY CHAIR FROM LAUGHING TOO MUCH! THIS IS FUNNY BUT THIS ALSO PISSES ME OFF TO NO END! NOW A RANTED ABOUT THIS SUBJECT A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS IN MY PRIME BUT I’M COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT!WHO IN THE HELL DO THESE CORPORATE BIG WIGS THINK THEY ARE?I’M JUST CHECKING THE NEWS TO SEE IF THE U.S. JUST ADOPTED A COMMUNIST GOVERMENT.NO? IT’S THE ONE THAT YOU SEE A FEW TIMES ON THE PLAQUE FOR EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR FOR THAT SAME HOTEL SO DON’T THINK THAT I’M JUST SOME DUMB SHMUCK THAT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. Well fuck me, here is another instance were I am at a loss of words.

Ok the last time I talked about Star Trek Bridge Commander I mentioned my geekly anticipation to play this sucker. Well a week ago I spent the whole night downloading the 110mb demo. So I finally got to play this neat Star Trek game. It’s safe to say this one will be a winner.

These shots (1024×768) show off the size difference to the starships and starbases (along with a shot of the ship in transit and a bridge shot):

The first four shots are in the “tactical view” and the last one is from the “bridge view”. “Tactical view” lets you see the outside of the ship. This is also the mode to manually control the starship. “Bridge view” is were you are sitting in the captains chair and you do it like Kirk and Picard. You order your crew and they do the best to follow your orders.

You don’t have to play one way or another. The “bridge view” is the easiest. Or it is the mode that lets you play with out to much micro managing. Fun either way. Here is a page that has six more screen shots showing the different bridge officers/stations you can command.
