Well how’s everyone been? It’s been a little slow around here. Now that I’m done futzing with how the website works. Any of you getting used to me updating on a daily basis? I have updated every day since the 25th of June. Now that has to be a record for me. I have to admit with use of NewsPro it has become easier to update. But I feel that maybe sometimes I’m posting something just because it’s so easy now.

So once again I’m going to call out to my viewers. How about a little interaction? At least how’s about you guy’s send me along some cool links you’ve found? Just a thought. Or maybe tell me why it is you come back more than once. Or what you think when you stumble in on the place from the outside. Like you people I get from I Should Be Working or Web WWWeirdness. So if you have the time drop me a line.

Today is my Brother’s birthday. So even though me and the guy don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things. And even if we have had some disagreement in recent times. Like the time I said I didn’t consider him my brother. Well that’s not true. He’s my brother. And I love the guy. Now the chances of him seeing this are nil to none. But it’s the thought that counts, right? Happy b-day Brother.

Well I must of jinxed myself because I didn’t update the last two days. Most of the reason was due to issues with my pc at home and my isp. My pc’s hard drive decided to start running hot. Really hot. So that kept me from doing anything Sunday. Monday I had different problems. My cd burner was acting funky. So once again I shut down my system in anger. I would have snuck one in late yesterday but I had some connection problems with my isp. My isp problem has continued into the night. I keep getting disconnected. It’s been behaving the last couple of hours.

Has anyone heard about the new Star Trek show that’s coming out in the fall? Well there is going to be a new show. It’s called simply Enterprise. And it takes place before Kirk’s time. I think it sounds like a good idea. But it depends on what happens. If you pick up the new TV Guide you can read about it. TV Guide also has a picture of the new ship. The ship looks to high tech to be before Kirk. That’s my inner fanboy talking. For more info on the new trek show try Trek Today or Section 31. Both of these sites cover trek and let you know about all of the up to date news and rumors.

Another few day have come and gone and not a peep out of me. I guess I just haven’t had anything to say. I have been futzing with some of the things NewsPro can do. I now have it set up so that my old Geocities page is a mirror of this page. I really can’t recommend NewsPro enough. If you have the patience to set it up and get it running the way you want. My server move went off without a hitch. Not much has been going on.

I had a chat with one of my “fans” again. I guess I have to get used to the fact I have “fans”. I still find it hard to believe. It’s neat talking with them.

I am working on a FAQ. I guess it could maybe explain the nature of the site to first time visitors. I of course am throwing in my own particular brand of humor. So will see if it’s helpful. So this would be a good time to throw questions my way. Well I got to get back to work.

Well I was really bored and I decided to head over to LAN Planet. You know that really cool place in Rockford where you can play computer games. I was just in one of those moods.

So I tried WWII Online. This is a massive multiplayer online kind of game. Now I really digged the movie Saving Private Ryan, so I was really hoping the game wouldn’t suck bad. And I heard about all the problems that the game had when It came out. But after playing it for less than thirty minutes, I have to say it isn’t something I would pay to play. It took more time to load than I played.

I also played around a little with the expansion to Diablo II. Nice addition to an already good game. If you like RPG’s. If you like hack and slash RPG’s.

I want to try some Counter Strike, but I’m afraid of the kids here. They will kick my ass. Maybe a little Soldier Of Fortune. I not sure what next. I was kinda looking forward to playing EverQuest. But it turns out they don’t have it anymore. I also want to try the On-Line game Anarchy On-Line. I’ve heard it’s a Futuristic EverQuest. More later.

Well it finally happened. My hard drive took a shit on me. I’m a little shocked by it. Because this really sucks. All of my important stuff is gone. What a pain. Now I’m having problems getting up and running again. My little 2 gig hard drive is the one that crashed. My 20 gig is still good. But I can’t get it to let my install Windows 98 on it. So I don’t know what to do. But give enough time I will figure it out. I just need a break or I’m going to destroy the computer in a fit of rage.

Well my home pc is still down. I had two hard drives. One was two gigs and came with the computer when I bought it back in 97. The other hard drive is about a year old. But the twenty gig is one of those 7200 rpm drives. Which my ancient mother doesn’t support. At least I think. I have tried to make the twenty gig drive go and all I get is it being recognizes as around eight gigs. Then I get a windows error once I’ve installed Windows 98. So I don’t know.

This whole episode does give me motivation to save up for a new computer. A nice brand spanking new 1GHz would be nice.

Anyone see the Robocop specials on the Sci-Fi channel? I watched the first two parts that were broadcast Monday and Tuesday. This tv version is more on par with the first movie. This is what the second and third movie should have been. If you dig the first movie, then it’s worth checking out.

I also went and saw the Final Fantasy movie. This is kind of based on a series of japanese console RPG’s. It’s a great step forward in computer animation. I liked the movie. It had an Aliens feel to it. To me though it’s more along the lines of japanese manga/anime. Which isn’t a bad thing. Worth checking out if your into that kind of Sci-Fi.
