So we had a meeting on the 17th. In this meeting one of the cowboy’s let the employee’s in on what had happened. At six in the morning on 12th we were no longer under the management of the Old Owners. The bank now owns us, with these cowboy fucks managing.

The cowboy that is here did a little speech in which he told us about the wonderful company in which we all work. His speech and the questions he answered were nothing but empty bullshit filled rhetoric.

He then asked al the employee’s to stand up to introduce themselves and to promise to give good service. Everyone of them pussy managers (and peons) stood up and told this fuck what he wanted to hear. When it came my turn I stood up and told him my name and said “I won’t promise anything. I will do my job.” That’s all I can do. We all have our good days and our bad days. I do my job. No more, no less.

The managers are all running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It’s amazing how this kind of thing can light a fire under their asses. It is funny to note that the GM was fired just a few days later. And the GM was one of those who boisterously promised good service. This new company are bigger fucks than the previous ones.

So you know I dig DVD’s, right? Well I love the extra footage, the commentary, and the hidden features are really cool. With the country on the verge of war and coincidently enough the hotel under “hostile takeover” I have decided to have my own little hidden feature.

This may be me driving into the other side of the road, the part of the road that is geekiness. But it’s my site. It’s the kind of shit I wrote back in the day. Comparable to the whole wanting to get fired stuff (Wanting To Get Fired-Part One, Wanting To Get Fired-Part Two, Wanting To Get Fired-Part Three).

Before you think “he’s lost it again” don’t worry. I’m not worried. It’s cool. I whipped up a resume and will be seeking something else. What I don’t know. The thought about maybe hitting some of the isp’s around my area has entered my noggin. Jvlnet, the guys I use need a support person. So we will see. It’s going to be a very weird couple of months, at work and in the world.

So I get in to work tonight and I’m asked by a few people if I had turned in my two week notice to quit. First let me say this rumor wasn’t started by me. Ok? Not me. I’m serious here. This is one of those things I won’t kid about. At least not this time. Sure I’ve started this kind of rumor before. It’s a tactic. This time this is not something I won’t joke about. That is if I do give a two week notice.

I am looking for a job, I can’t deny that. This siege on the hotel by these new owners is something I can’t be a part of. They are liars. They don’t care about any of the employee’s at the hotel. These people will bring nothing good to the hotel. So far one person was let go. And a cook called in and told them he was done. So I expect more of these kinds of things to happen.

Final thing here. This is night 19. Payday was supposed to be on this Friday. But because of the shuffling of owners we will not get payed until Monday. What can you do?

Shit second attempt at this. I accidentally unplugged the power cord. So here is the condensed version.

22nd night is over with. 23rd is the start of my 4 days off. “They” continue to fuck with the employee’s. New guy starts tonight. I don’t think I’m going let them have access to me while I’m off. That’s hard on the new guy. I want some acknowledgement from these people. That’s all I ask. Ok, and a raise. But that’s all I ask.

Ok, I do have a few demands. By these are all due to me because the Illinois Department Of Labor says so. And I have talked about the laws before. Monday morning I will be calling again.

Well my first night back is almost over. It was great getting time off. Man you can’t understand how burnt out I was after twenty two days in a row. My four days off seemed like two weeks off. It was great.

Payday was awesome. Uncle Sam didn’t hit me as hard as I had expected. I paid bills and I spent a lot of money on junk and I still have some dough left over. I picked up a few more games. I got Real War, which is based on the software the Joint Chiefs use to train their people. Real War also features the voice talents of R Lee Ermey. It’s a bit tougher than what I’m used to in a real time strategy game. It’s fun though.

I also picked up a Diablo clone called Throne Of Darkness. If you can stomach the hack and slash kind of rpg, then this one is for you. I’m waiting for a game called Pool OF Radiance. This one is a D&D 3rd Edition based game. Turn based and all that. Looks pretty slick, too. This one should be out today.
