Well it has been a very slow night. Nothing going on here at the hotel. I work tonight and then I’m off for four days. I should mention it’s the 4th of July. So about the only thing I’m doing is going to the fireworks with the Izer’s. Just make sure everyone has a safe holiday. Watch out for those fireworks.

Well it’s another boring night at work. Dead as a door nail. We have about twenty rooms rented. So me and the security guard start talking. This isn’t a bad thing. A very smart guy. Anyway were talking about where life on our planet came from. I have talked about this before. But the security guard thinks we came from outer space. And keep in mind I don’t want to get in any fights about creation theory. I’m not saying what I think, or that you should think these ideas.

But the idea that a superior race seeded us on earth does have a romantic flavor to me. I would like to think there is life out there. It would be a terrible waste of space if we were all alone in this huge place in which we live on one planet. Perhaps the surest sign of intelligent life in space is that they have yet to contact us. Well on that subject here are a few links to some stuff that shares some of the opinions I may or may not have:

And again I want to state that these are my opinions. And I am not forcing them down anyone’s throat. These links are just there for you to take a look at (or don’t).

Here are two really cool links from SETI that talks about the movies Independence Day and Contact that I missed. Very cool reads. Both of these stories hawk SETI stuff. I know they need funding but it seems like a tacky way of doing it.

I got an e-mail from my host and they wanted to tell me that I was moving servers. So I figured I would pass it on to you guys.

I know it says “users will still be able to view your pages”. But just in case you have been warned. I will be making a back up of all my data the day before. Again just in case. I read enough of other sites having horror stories about moving servers. So everyone cross their fingers.

Well how’s everyone been? It’s been a little slow around here. Now that I’m done futzing with how the website works. Any of you getting used to me updating on a daily basis? I have updated every day since the 25th of June. Now that has to be a record for me. I have to admit with use of NewsPro it has become easier to update. But I feel that maybe sometimes I’m posting something just because it’s so easy now.

So once again I’m going to call out to my viewers. How about a little interaction? At least how’s about you guy’s send me along some cool links you’ve found? Just a thought. Or maybe tell me why it is you come back more than once. Or what you think when you stumble in on the place from the outside. Like you people I get from I Should Be Working or Web WWWeirdness. Today is my Brother’s birthday. So even though me and the guy don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things. And even if we have had some disagreement in recent times. Like the time I said I didn’t consider him my brother. Well that’s not true. He’s my brother. And I love the guy. Now the chances of him seeing this are nil to none. But it’s the thought that counts, right? Happy b-day Brother.

Well I must of jinxed myself because I didn’t update the last two days. Most of the reason was due to issues with my pc at home and my isp. My pc’s hard drive decided to start running hot. Really hot. So that kept me from doing anything Sunday. Monday I had different problems. My cd burner was acting funky. So once again I shut down my system in anger. I would have snuck one in late yesterday but I had some connection problems with my isp. My isp problem has continued into the night. I keep getting disconnected. It’s been behaving the last couple of hours.

Has anyone heard about the new Star Trek show that’s coming out in the fall? Well there is going to be a new show. It’s called simply Enterprise. And it takes place before Kirk’s time. I think it sounds like a good idea. But it depends on what happens. If you pick up the new TV Guide you can read about it. TV Guide also has a picture of the new ship. The ship looks to high tech to be before Kirk. That’s my inner fanboy talking. For more info on the new trek show try Trek Today or Section 31.
