got a few glorious minutes of CSPAN tonight before I had the remote stolen from me. Some fucking republican was comparing the war on terror to the war against great britain saying we shouldn’t give up. …correct me if I’m wrong but our original leader and chief was a terrorist of sorts fighting (insurance) against an occupying force. hmmm..

I’m currently in the process of buying a house. I don’t care how many times I run Ad-Aware and my virus scanner-every banner add I get now is for mortgage rates and real estate.

Non Smoker

well congrats!
I quit smoking a couple years ago because Jeff told me it was silly to keep taking me to the hospital for asthma attacks while smoking. He was right. It was rather silly.
I also faced a lack of social contact when I quit. No more going to the smokers break area. No more conversations at home with the rare endangered white porch monkey, etc.
I do find that when I’m at the bar and drinking is the hardest. So once or twice a year I buy myself a pack of ultra ultra lights or clove cigarettes and smoke a few while I’m at the bar and throw the pack away. This isn’t right for everyone but it’s just something I do.
On the plus side now I have a lot of friends that never have smoked, and let me tell ya, not having to leave a movie in the middle of snow/rain, or whatever to get my fix is pretty nice.
That and I have more money.
